What is Ganoderma Lucidum

Ganoderma Lucidum also known as the lingzhi, reishi mushroom or linh chi which means “supernatural mushroom” in Vietnamese is a group of many fungal species. Research has shown that each species has different qualities and there are six specific species that are needed to create the true Superfood.

Ganoderma Lucidum is the oldest mushroom known to have been used medicinally in China as far back as 4000 years ago. It is the bright orange “flower” shown in ancient paintings with all royalty. Possibly this is one reason that orange and red are favorite colors in China. Interestingly there is also a purple version and once again the color of royalty.

Ganoderma Lucidum is known for health benefits and no side-effects which has given it the reputation in the East as the ultimate herbal substance. If you translate words in Chinese relating to Ganoderma Lucidum you know why it is a Superfood. Some translations include “spirit, spiritual, soul, miraculous, sacred, divine, mysterious, efficacious, effective, plant of longevity, excrescence, the immortality plant or just plain red mushroom.

The plant takes various shapes and interestingly the shape seems to match body function such as kidney-shaped supposedly helps the kidneys, brain-shaped for the brain etc. That is why it has been found that six specific species are needed to provide the full body health. These six species are known to be only available in one commercial company, Gano Excel, at a reasonable price.

It is highly recommended that you check out the clinical studies on Ganoderma Lucidum. Gano Excel does not make medical claims about their products as required by law but based on the research they would be well within their rights to do some fantastic bragging. Educate yourself and make sure you learn the differences and need for all six species and the processing requirements prior to selecting a product from inferior competitors.

Gano Excel has a high technology extraction process to create the best quality. They produce over 80% of the world’s Ganoderma Lucidum with over two billion servings a year. Many companies try to emulate Gano Excel but they have far inferior products and seldom have more than one variety of Ganoderma Lucidum. The best competitors are known to “buy Gano Excel products” and advertise the benefits as if it were there own product or materials.

The growth of Ganoderma Lucidum is very critical. If you heat the product to purify it for FDA approval you will destroy the Superfood qualities. Most companies grow Ganoderma Lucidum on wood logs and other uncontrolled clean room environments. This requires them to heat the product to sterilize it prior to packaging and shipping. Of course this destroys the Superfood quality. Gano Excel has the world’s largest organic Ganoderma Lucidum factory. All base soil and nutrients are sterilized first and the lingzhi or Reishi is added and grown in a controlled environment. Therefore, Gano Excel Ganoderma Lucidum has the full power of the Superfood because it was not destroyed in the manufacturing process.

The most powerful form of Ganoderma Lucidum is through an extract of cracked spores. Of course as soon as you crack the spore the Ganoderma Lucidum starts to spoil and turns rancid. This requires putting the product in essential oils and other highly expensive processes or the product is virtually worthless.

Due to its bitter taste, Lingzhi is traditionally prepared as a hot water extract. It is boiled multiple times. The more active red forms of lingzhi are far too bitter to be consumed in a soup so it is usually provided in capsule form in the higher strength and quality.

Gano Excel developed a special process to enrich coffee with Ganoderma Lucidum. This was a breakthrough because as discussed above, Ganoderma Lucidum is VERY bitter. Special processes needed to be done to make the product not only effective but also super tasting to match the Superfood qualities. Gano Excel covers the bitter taste even when including the more active forms. Most competitors do not include the most active forms because it is bitter.

Warning – do not microwave your water with the product in it. Heat the water first and add the coffee afterwards or you will destroy the Superfood qualities as discussed above.

Gano Excel was the first company and most experienced with the highest quality Ganoderma Lucidum creating high flavor enriched gourmet coffee. Now you can enjoy Superfood health with America’s number one comfort food.
